This course examines the nature, causes, treatments, and prevention of clinical disturbance and personality disorders, and explores historical perspectives thereof.

This course provides an introduction to abnormal psychology, the study of psychological disorders. Since this subject matter is delicate and complicated, this course will be repeated multiple times in a student’s formal education in psychology. Those who pursue a clinical emphasis will greatly appreciate the necessity of giving this subject as much educational attention as possible so that behavioral symptoms can become more easily distinguishable.
