Appendix A: RDA to MARC 21 maps and workflows

For more information about RDA and MARC 21, including obtaining access to “maps,” go to https://www.rdaregistry.info/Maps/. Maps are documents that essentially act as crosswalks from one schema to another. We would include both maps for both bibliographic and authority MARC standards, but they are so immense that we cannot possibly include them here. Check the “MARC 21 formats” and “MARC Relator Codes” maps.

If you would like practice recording MARC data that is pertinent to RDA fields, use this table, which was adapted from that provided by the Library of Congress in their Cataloging Workshop page:
